Napa County permits and rules for portable toilets
In unincorporated Napa County, the Public Works Roads Division issues encroachment permits for county road right-of-way. A unit on a road shoulder or at a driveway apron on a county road needs one. Contractors must call the roads inspector at least 72 hours before work starts. For events at a winery, check the winery's county use permit first.
It may limit guest counts or event types, which affects how many units you need.
Weather and ground in Napa County
Many Napa County sites are on slopes, gravel vineyard roads or narrow private lanes. Our truck needs a firm, level spot within reach of the hose. Steep or soft vineyard rows will not work for placement. Summer heat in the valley often passes 95 degrees, so shade helps guests.
Winter rain makes vineyard roads muddy, and the Napa River area can flood. We plan routes with that in mind.
Common porta potty jobs in Napa County
Napa County work is mostly vineyard crews during harvest and pruning. We also serve winery events, estate weddings and remodels on hillside homes. Restroom trailers and deluxe flushing units are common asks for weddings. Farm crews need standard units with hand wash stations that we can move from block to block.
Napa County porta potty questions
Short, local answers for Napa County jobs and events, from road access to permits.
Can you place units in a vineyard for a picking crew?
We can, as long as our truck can reach a firm, level spot near the block. Vineyard avenues and headlands next to a gravel road usually work well. Wet rows or steep blocks do not, so plan a spot the truck can reach in rain.
Do you bring restroom trailers up winding roads to estates?
We look at the road and the pad before we say yes to a trailer. Restroom trailers need room to turn around, a level spot, and sometimes power. Send us photos or a map pin of the drive, and we will tell you what fits.
Does my winery need a county permit for event toilets?
Units on your own property, away from the county road, usually need no encroachment permit. Your winery's county use permit may still limit guest counts or event types. Check those terms before you set the guest list, since that sets how many units you need.
How far ahead should I book for harvest season?
Book a week or two ahead for August through October if you can. Harvest crews across the valley need units at the same time, so stock runs tight. Same-day delivery still works when you call by 10 a.m. and we have units in the yard.
